Hyundai Grand i10 Sportz Updates

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Sportz, launched in the latter part of 2023, has been making waves in the Indian market with its enhanced features and aggressive styling. The car is priced at Rs 7.36 lakh (ex-showroom) in New Delhi and comes with a 1.2-liter Kappa engine producing 82 bhp. It also boasts a range of premium features, including a rear camera, automatic climate control, and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. I believe this variant offers great value for money, especially with its extensive safety features like six airbags and electronic stability control.

Hyundai has recently unveiled the 2023 facelift of the Grand i10 Nios, which includes the Sportz variant. This update brings a new aggressive front bumper, refreshed 15-inch alloy wheels, and additional features such as a semi-digital instrument cluster and cruise control. The car retains the same 1.2-liter petrol engine and also offers an optional factory-fitted CNG kit. I think the new design elements and added features will help the Grand i10 Nios stay competitive in the market.

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Sportz has been praised for its interior space and premium feel, with large front windows enhancing visibility and sufficient legroom and storage space. However, some owners have noted that the suspension is quite stiff, making the ride on uneven roads uncomfortable. Despite this, the cars mileage of 16-17 kmpl in city drives and its host of safety essentials are significant positives. I believe that while the suspension issue needs attention, the overall package is quite compelling.

Hyundai Motor India has commenced bookings for the new generation Grand i10 Nios, with the launch taking place in August 2019. The Sportz variant, among others, was part of this launch and has been a popular choice due to its balance of features and price. The car shares a platform with the Hyundai Venue and comes with advanced safety features like ABS, EBD, and multiple airbags. I think this platform sharing has helped in optimizing costs and enhancing the overall driving experience.

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, including the Sportz variant, was initially launched with a focus on being the lead market in India before its European debut. The car features a 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine, producing 82 bhp, and is known for its best-in-class features and safety standards. I believe that Hyundais strategy to launch this model first in India has been successful in capturing a significant market share.
