Ford India is set to make a comeback in the Indian market in 2025, with the new-generation Ford Endeavour, or possibly named Ford Everest, expected to be launched as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU). This move will allow Ford to import 2,500 units without homologation. The new SUV will feature a completely new design inspired by the F-150 Raptor and will come with advanced features like a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a 12.3-inch digital instrument console. I believe this new design and feature set will make the Endeavour a strong contender in the premium SUV segment.

Ford has filed a patent for the next-generation Endeavour in India, indicating its plans to reintroduce the model in the country. The new-gen Endeavour, launched internationally in 2022, is expected to be part of Fords strategy to re-enter the Indian market with global products. This move suggests Ford is serious about regaining its market share in the premium SUV segment. I think this is a positive step for Ford, given the growing demand for premium SUVs in India.

The current Ford Endeavour in India offers a 3.2L turbocharged diesel engine, which is known for its powerful performance and torque. This engine produces 197 bhp and 470 Nm of torque, making it suitable for both urban and off-road driving. The Endeavour also features a Terrain Management System and rear diff lock, enhancing its off-road capabilities. I believe the 3.2L engine is one of the standout features of the Endeavour, making it a favorite among SUV enthusiasts.

The Ford Endeavour has been praised for its solid build quality, macho styling, and comfortable cabin. The SUV comes with a range of safety features including all-wheel disc brakes, ESP, TC, hill launch assist, and up to 7 airbags. These features make it one of the safest options in its segment. I believe the Endeavours focus on safety and comfort sets it apart from its competitors.

In 2010, Ford India unveiled the Ford Endeavour 3 litre 4x2 Automatic, which featured a 5-speed automatic transmission and a 3.0 L TDCi common-rail turbo-diesel engine with a Variable Geometry Turbocharger. This update was significant as it introduced an automatic transmission option to the Endeavour lineup, enhancing its appeal to a broader range of buyers. I think this addition helped in making the Endeavour more accessible and convenient for urban drivers.
