The company had been struggling to compete with other SUVs like the Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Safari, selling only 3,008 units from November 2011 to January 2016. This low sales figure was far below the initial target of 4,000 units for the first year. I think this decision was inevitable given the tough competition in the SUV market.
