Our take on this /// Verdict
The Fiat Freemont Diesel is a robust and feature-rich SUV that offers a compelling package for those seeking a spacious and comfortable vehicle. With its 2.0-liter Multijet II diesel engine producing 170 Bhp and 350 Nm of torque, it provides adequate power for both city driving and long road trips. The vehicle boasts a 7-seat configuration, making it an excellent choice for families or those who need ample passenger space. However, the Freemonts pricing in India might be a deterrent for some, as it positions the vehicle in a competitive segment where other brands offer similar features at potentially more attractive prices. Despite this, its strong safety record, including 7 airbags and advanced safety features like ESP and ABS, makes it a solid contender in the SUV market.
Price
The Fiat Freemont Diesel is priced at approximately 32,00,000 ex-showroom in Delhi, which may vary depending on the location and local taxes. When considering the on-road price, you can expect to add around 4-5 lakhs to the ex-showroom price, accounting for registration, insurance, and other costs. This places the Freemont in a premium segment, competing with other SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. While the price is steep, the Freemonts extensive list of features, including dual-zone climate control, leather seats, and advanced safety features, justifies the cost to some extent. However, potential buyers need to weigh the value against other options available in the market.

Despite its European focus, the Fiat Freemont Diesel has garnered attention for its potential in other markets due to its versatile design and robust engine options. However, there has been no official announcement regarding its launch in India. I think it would be a great addition to the Indian market if priced competitively.

The Fiat Freemont Diesel, a rebadged version of the Dodge Journey, has been tailored for the European market with significant tweaks, including a new grille and retuned suspension for better handling on European roads. It features 2.0-liter MultiJet 2 diesel engines in 140 HP and 170 HP versions. I think these adjustments make it a solid choice for those seeking comfort and efficiency.

The Fiat Freemont Diesel boasts an innovative interior design with a wrap-around dashboard, chrome components, and a 4.3 color touch-screen infotainment system. The vehicle also includes numerous storage compartments, ensuring ample space for passengers and cargo. The high driving position and ergonomic seats add to the overall comfort.

Fiat has emphasized the comfort and safety features of the Freemont Diesel, including automatic triple-zone climate control, cruise control, and keyless entry. The Urban trim level adds additional features like Bluetooth, leather steering wheel, and rear parking sensors, enhancing the overall driving experience. I believe these features make it a competitive option in its segment.
Mileage
Thursday, 21 November 2024 01:53 PM
The Fiat Freemont Diesel offers a reasonable mileage for its class, with an estimated fuel consumption of around 6.4 to 7.3 liters per 100 kilometers, depending on the driving conditions. In real-world usage, this can translate to about 10-12 kilometers per liter in mixed driving conditions. While this is not the most fuel-efficient option in the segment, it is still manageable given the vehicles size and power output. For those concerned about running costs, the Freemonts mileage is decent but not exceptional.

Fiat Freemont Diesel Discussion
Good that Fiat considered to bring Freemont to India but as CBU is not a good idea at all as it will be killed because of its price. A bit later is still OK but Fiat should consider manufacturing/assembling it in India and then only it can be price competitive and can give a tough fight to others in the category.
Its not really Fiat's fault that the Freemont is so costly. The government taxes CBUs heavily.
Fiat Freemount should be the answer to fortuner, captiva etc. Fiat we are waiting for its launch. But Pls make the price competitive.
Too Costly man.......
it should have less price.
The real gangsta.....
