The most growing segment in Indian market currently is 4-meter compact sedan segment, which offers low service and maintenance costs coupled with prestige of owing a sedan. Hyundai has also joined this segment with Xcent sedan with a killer price tag and competing with Maruti DZire. Comparison between both the compact sedans is done on following features:-
Design
Hyundai Xcent is a sedan model of Grand i10 with a boot stuck. Till the C-pillar the whole car remains the same and from there it gets a sizable boot and a very unexpected tail light design. Whereas Maruti DZire features the same hatchback design but the pushed-in boot seems like for excise benefits does not appears to be a wholesome design.
Features
Hyundai Xcent is a step ahead in case of features as DZire is loaded with decent features. The Xcent comes with a large amount of features which are not even seen in higher segment cars. Push button start, keyless go,
1GB storage for the audio system, bluetooth telephony, rear AC vent are some of the unique stuff that are seen in Xcent.
Space
Along with more headroom, Xcent is more spacious than DZire. Along with rear seat armrests Xcent also have cup-holders which is not there in DZire.
Engine and Power
Xcent is powered by a 1.2 liter, 4-cylinder engine which produces a power of about
81.9bhp@6000rpm and a maximum torque of 113Nm@4000rpm. Whereas DZire is powered by a 1.2 liter K-series engine which produces a power of 85.8bhp@6000rpm and provides a maximum torque of 114Nm@4000rpm.
Conclusion
Hyundai Xcent is definitely better because of its lucrative features and price, and good after sale services Hyundai Xcent proves to be a better choice for the customers than Maruti DZire.
