The Renault KWID is expected to be launched by the month of November, 2015. It is an entry-level crossover which has been priced between INR 3.50-4.50 lakh. It will be available in 3 trims i.e. KWID 800, KWID AMT and KWID 1000. It is the first car to be built on the brand's new CMF-A platform. It picks the look of a hatchback along with crossover elements like plastic body cladding and increased ride height. Renault KWID marries features, style, innovative and affordability. It is designed in India and France and is quite attractive which will definitely allure the buyers towards it.

It is a 5 seater car which would be powered by a 800cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission which makes it very well positioned in terms of fuel consumption. It has got a length of 3680 mm and a width of 1580mm. It's ground clearance is 180mm. It has disc brakes at the front drum brakes at the rear end. On the other side, suspension duties are managed by MacPherson at the front and Multi-arm at the rear. Inside, the crossover features chrome air vents, a digital instrument cluster and a MediaNAV system which offers a bluetooth, radio and navigation through 7-inch touchscreen. We have already seen the same MediaNAV system in Duster and Lodgy.

The dashboard of this new car appears to be slightly unconventional and robustly built. According to Renault, airbags will be available as an option. It has a strong looking Renault grille with rectangular headlamps and a muscular, squared-off design. There will be no diesel engine for the crossover for the time being. Talking about its rivals, it will give a tough competition to Maruti Alto 800, Hyundai EON and Tata Nano Gen-X.
