Honda Amaze Vs Maruti Swift Dzire
Honda Motors India is ready to launch his first diesel car Honda Brio sedan, which is also known as Honda Amaze. Honda Amaze is expected to be launched in April 2013. The car will powered with 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine and 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol engine. The powerful petrol engine can produce maximum power of 88 bhp at 6000 rpm and peak torque of 109 Nm at 4900 rpm with top speed of around 170-180 kmph. The petrol engine is capable enough to give out the mileage of 12 to13 kmpl and diesel engine can take the mileage graph from 15 to 16 kmpl on the city roads. While on smooth highways; the mileage of petrol engine can go up to 16 to 17 kmpl and diesel engine can reach to 19 to 20 kmpl. The car's grip along with the suspension system makes his handling good enough even on high speed and rough Indian roads. The power steering adds further advantage to its driver's comfort. For the sake of control, the car is bestowed with strong braking system comprising of ventilated disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear.
Maruti Swift Dzire comes in total seven variants, four for petrol and 3 for diesel. Swift Dzire is equipped with 1197cc, 1.2-liter K-Series petrol engine with VVT technology. It can produce 85 bhp at 6000 rpm with peek torque of 114 Nm at 4000 rpm. On the other hand, 1248cc DDiS diesel engine is capable of driving a maximum power of 74 bhp at 4000 rpm with peak torque of 190 Nm at 2000 rpm. Its powerful engine is paired with four speed automatic transmission. The 1.2 liter petrol engine deliver 19 kmpl of mileage on Indian roads and can hit the 100 kmph speed mark in just 12.6 seconds and has a top speed of 169 kmph. However, the 1.3 diesel engine deliver the inspiring mileage of 23.4 kmpl and can reach the 100 kmph speed in just 14.8 seconds. This diesel engine has the top speed of 162 kmph.
