Chevrolet Beat Activ (Diesel) Updates

Latest Updates
Thursday, 18 May 2017 02:16 AM General Motors India announced that it would discontinue sales of all its products in India, including the Chevrolet Beat Activ, effective December 31, 2017. The company will utilize its Indian facilities for export markets only. This move marks the end of the Beat Activs run in the Indian market. I think this decision will be a significant loss for fans of the Beat series.
Monday, 30 January 2017 09:28 AM Chevrolet India was working on expanding the Beat family, including the Beat Activ, with plans to launch these models in the first half of 2017. The Beat Activ was expected to compete with cars like the Mahindra KUV100 and Maruti Ignis. I think the competition would have been fierce, but the Beat Activ had some unique features to stand out.
Saturday, 14 January 2017 06:50 PM The Chevrolet Beat Activ was priced in the range of Rs. 6 lakhs to Rs. 7.3 lakhs (on-road) and came with the same engines as the Beat hatchback, including a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.0-litre diesel, both mated to a five-speed manual transmission. I believe the pricing was competitive, making it an attractive option in its segment.
Wednesday, 03 February 2016 06:02 PM The Chevrolet Beat Activ was unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo in February 2016, showcasing its new styling, including LED headlamps, a two-piece grille, and integrated fog lamps. The car also featured sporty interiors with a dual-tone beige and brown theme and Chevrolets MyLink infotainment system. I believe the design updates made the Beat Activ quite appealing to the youth market.
Monday, 12 October 2015 03:57 AM General Motors India started exporting the Chevrolet Beat, including the Beat Activ, to various markets such as Mexico and Argentina, highlighting the cars global appeal. This export push was part of GMs strategy to utilize Indian manufacturing for international markets. I think this export strategy was a smart move to leverage Indias manufacturing capabilities.
