BMW 7 Series 730Ld (CBU) (Diesel) Updates

BMW India has introduced the 740d M Sport, a diesel variant of the 7 Series, which is locally produced at the BMW Group Plant Chennai. This model features a refined six-cylinder in-line diesel engine producing 286 hp and 650 Nm of torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h. I think this addition will appeal to those looking for a powerful yet efficient diesel option.

The BMW 740d M Sport is priced at Rs. 1,81,00,000 (ex-showroom) in India, making it a competitive option in the luxury sedan segment. This price point, combined with its performance and luxury features, positions it well against other high-end vehicles. I believe the pricing is quite reasonable given the features and performance it offers.

The BMW 7 Series, including the 740d M Sport, boasts an updated iDrive infotainment system, now version 8.5, which simplifies navigation with its zero-layer principle design. This means all important functions are accessible directly from the home screen, enhancing user experience. This update is a significant step forward in terms of usability.

The 740d M Sport comes with a range of luxurious features, including a Heads Up Display, 360 Degree Camera, massage seats, and active noise cancellation. These features contribute to a comfortable and technologically advanced driving experience. I think the attention to detail in the interior is impressive.

BMW has emphasized the importance of the 7 Series in its lineup, with the 740d M Sport being a key variant. The company has highlighted the cars new design language, powerful dynamics, and trailblazing digital experience as key selling points. This focus on luxury and performance is likely to attract high-end buyers.

The 740d M Sport is available in several color options, including Brooklyn Grey Metallic, Individual Tanzanite Blue, and Carbon Black Metallic, among others. This variety allows buyers to choose a color that suits their personal style. I think the color palette is quite appealing.

In terms of fuel efficiency, the BMW 740d M Sport offers a mileage of up to 12.1 kmpl, which is respectable for a luxury sedan. This makes it a viable option for those who need a balance between performance and fuel economy. I believe this is a good compromise for a car in its class.

The 740d M Sport features BMWs TwinPower Turbo technology, which combines maximum power with exemplary efficiency. This technology ensures spontaneous responsiveness even at low engine speeds, enhancing the overall driving experience. This tech is a standout feature for diesel enthusiasts.

BMW has highlighted the 740d M Sports M-specific configuration, which enhances the drive systems performance. This configuration includes an eight-speed automatic transmission and a torque boost from the mild-hybrid system, contributing to its smooth and powerful acceleration. I think this configuration makes the car feel very responsive.

The BMW 7 Series, including the 740d M Sport, is known for its luxurious interior, which includes rich-smelling leathers, stainless steel accents, and fancy glass and wood trim elements. This opulent interior sets it apart in the luxury segment. I believe the interior is one of the cars strongest points.
