Yamaha Ray ZR MotoGP Edition Updates

Yamahas decision to launch the MotoGP Edition as part of its ‘The Call of the Blue’ brand campaign has been well-received in the Indian market. The campaign includes other MotoGP editions of the YZF-R15M and MT-15 V2.0, all featuring Yamaha MotoGP livery. I think this campaign helps in reinforcing Yamahas brand identity and appealing to fans of MotoGP.

Yamaha has introduced the 2023 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition of the Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid in India, available at all premium Blue Square outlets. This edition features a new livery inspired by Yamaha’s MotoGP bike, including bold ‘Monster Energy’ branding and decals. The scooter remains mechanically unchanged, powered by a 125cc engine with Hybrid Power Assist. I think this edition adds a nice touch of sportiness to the already popular Ray ZR 125.

The Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition of the Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid is priced at Rs. 92,330 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it slightly cheaper than the Street Rally variant. This special edition comes with the same mechanical specifications as other trims, including a 125cc engine and Hybrid Power Assist, but stands out with its unique MotoGP-inspired graphics. I believe this pricing makes it an attractive option for those looking for a sporty scooter.

The Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid, including the MotoGP Edition, features advanced technology such as a digital instrument cluster, front disc brakes with UBS, and a spacious under-seat storage compartment. The scooter also benefits from its lightweight construction, enhancing its agility, handling, and fuel efficiency. I believe these features make the Ray ZR 125 a compelling choice for daily commuting and short trips.

Yamaha India has seen high demand for the Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid in international markets, particularly in Europe. Between January and July, 13,400 units were dispatched to 27 European countries, indicating strong acceptance in mature markets. This success overseas has boosted Yamahas confidence in establishing India as a global manufacturing hub. I think this international demand is a testament to the scooters quality and appeal.
