When is Royal Enfield Going to Launch the Continental GT in India?

The all new Royal Enfield Continental GT was expected to release in early 2013, but the date has been pushed to late 2013.

Its very unusual and a never seen before bike. It resemble much to the 1965 model, in terms of looks. The GRP tank, rear set footrests and a humpy racing seat. It is a well-known fact that you have to wait for about 6-8 months after booking, to make it yours. The engine has a displacement capacity of 535 cc and the expected power is 36 bhp.

Royal Enfield Continental GT features a 5-speed gearbox with wet multiple clutch system. The chassis is Tubular Steel type and the air cooled engine is expected to offer an astounding mileage. The overall length is 2089 mm and the curb weight is 187 Kg. It is available in Red color. For an efficient braking system, the bike features a telescopic hydraulic suspension in the front and Twin Shock Absorbers suspension at the rear side. The fuel tank capacity is 14.30 liters and the wheelbase is 1358 mm long.
