The TVS Apache RTR 180 comes loaded with a 177.4cc 4-stroke air cooled single cylinder SOHC 2 valve mill, this is a newer version of the previous 160cc mill with a longer stroke. The Bajaj Pulsar 180 has changed a lot from its earlier version, it has a 178.6cc 4-stroke air cooled single cylinder SOHC 2 Valve mill. The TVS Apache RTR 180 is capable of producing a peak power of up to 17.3 PS. On the other hand, the Bajaj Pulsar 180 has an output of 17.02 PS. The engines are mated to 5-speed manual gearbox. The TVS Apache RTR 180 has a Double Cradle Synchro stiff chassis, which is a significant benefit to the overall dynamics of the bike. On the other side, Bajaj Pulsar 180 has a Double Down tube frame chassis, which is a design, borrowed from the Pulsar 200.

In terms of comfort ability, TVS Apache RTR 180 seems to gain a bigger margin than the Bajaj Pulsar 180. As far as dimensions are concerned, Apache has got a length of 2085.00 mm, a width of 730.00 mm and a height of 1105.00 mm and has a ground clearance of 165mm and wheelbase of 1300mm. On the other front, Pulsar 180 has a length of 2035mm, a width of 765mm and a height of 1115mm. RTR 180 carries a weight of 139 kg and Pulsar 180 weighs at 147 kg. The fuel tank of RTR 180 has a capacity of 16 litres whereas Pulsar 180's fuel tank has a capacity of 15 litres. The TVS Apache is equipped with large 270mm disc brakes at the front, and 200mm drum brakes at the rear. Bajaj Pulsar 180 has a front disc brake of 260mm and a rear disc brake of 130mm. Both the bikes are available in 3 shades at the price of Rs. 72,500 and Rs. 70,200 respectively.
