Mahindra Duro DZ vs Honda Activa
To challenge the Honda Activa’s supremacy in the Indian market Mahindra 2wheelers has launched an upgraded version of Mahindra Duro named Mahindra Duro DZ. The new Mahindra Duro DZ is powered by 125cc engine compared to the 110cc engine of Honda Activa But the Duro DZ generates 7.98 bhp with a peak torque of 9Nm almost similar to the 7.89bhp and 8.92 Nm torque generated by the Honda Activa.
The overall appearance of Mahindra Duro DZ is a bit larger than the Honda Activa. While Duro DZ has 1814mm x 770mm x 1275mm the Activa possess 1761mm x 710mm x 1147mm. The Duro DZ is equipped with an upgrade suspension with telescopic front and Hydraulic rear suspension. Even the ground clearance has been increased to 155mm for a comfortable journey. The Activa comes with bottom link hydraulic damper up front and unit swing hydraulic damper down rear and it has ground clearance of 145mm.
Both these scooters have 130mm drum brake both at front as well as at rear. The Duro DZ offers 0-60 kmph ride in 9.3 seconds while Activa does it in around 10 seconds. Activa comes with a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 liters while Duro has 6 liters capacity. The fuel efficiency is also quite the same for both around an average of 55kmpl. The ex-showroom price of Honda Activa is set at INR 47188 and Mahindra Duro DZ has INR 42,149.
