Dear Sir, I am a working business man and need to travel a lot in the city. Which 125 cc bike would be the best for me? Honda CB Shine or Hero Glamour?
02 January 2023 06:47
Starting from the looks, the CB Shine has an elegantly-styled body along with a solid build quality. The graphics also match well with the design and the matte-finish on the engine and wheels give it an upmarket feel. The Glamour also has got striking looks with dual-tone colour schemes and well-integrated graphics. The build quality of Glamour is not so good. Commuting on either of them is comfortable as you don't have to stretch to reach out to the controls. The engine department is also smooth and refined free of vibrations of both the bikes. But once you wring the throttle open to the max, the more powerful and lighter CB Shine can easily leave the Glamour behind. On the other hand, Glamour can maintain its smoothness at high revs but the Shine gets strained. Also, it is easy to change gears on Glamour and a hard and clunky at times on the Honda Shine. Both the bikes have an mileage between 55-60 kmpl. Riding and handling is felt better in case of CB Shine.

The seating and the riding position for both the bikes is comfortable but of course the the Discover 125M has got a longer seat. The seat height for both the bikes is good enough to comfortably accommodate small to medium heighted riders. CB Shine is behind the Discover when it comes to performance due to its kerb weight of 118 kgs whereas the Discover weighs 117 kgs. With Honda Shine you can reach max to 90 km/hr but with Discover you can easily hit 95 km/hr. The mileage for the Discover comes out to be 63 km/l while the Shine returns 55-57 km/l on a daily basis.
