When is Bajaj going to launch the KTM RC 250 in India?
29 December 2022 05:51
KTM RC 250 is only for export market and will not make way into the Indian market. The bike gets power from a newly developed and lightweight 248.8 cc, 1-cylinder motor. The bike is exactly the same as the RC 200 and 390 in terms of design and specifications. It produces 30.87 BHP and 24 NM of torque. The front and rear wheel gets 300 mm and 230 mm of disc brakes respectively. The front suspension remains USD forks whereas the rear is the same monocross unit. Everything has been kept same except the ultra lightweight engine, which is 37.2 KG only. It is made in India and exported to other countries. India has not segment for the bike as pricing will disturb the current market of RC 200 and RC 390. It returns a mileage of 30-35 kmpl.

Pulsar better than KTM
Hello, my question is that I am confused in KTM RC200 and Bajaj Pulsar RS200 (ABS)?
29 December 2022 05:51
Both the bikes are excellent options in the entry level sport biking category. The RC200 is a track based machine, being very precised at cornering, acceleration and braking. The position of the ride is not favorable for everyday riding or long distance trips as the rider leans forward in every ride. On the other hand, the position on the Pulsar is relaxed, sporty and aggressive to the requirements. The bike comes with a ABS bonus, making it more practical on rough Indian road conditions. The engine below the tank remains same for the both. The 199.5 cc motor has been differently tuned for both the bikes, making Bajaj Pulsar RS200 more fuel efficient than the RC200. The power figures and performance varies by a marginally small difference, making the RS200 ABS a more practical and useful option. The price for both the variants differ by INR 36,000. Pulsar RS200 ABS comes at INR 1,30,000.

Bajaj RS200 (ABS) would be more practical choice. But if you want performance then KTM RC will win. RS200 - ABS option, Comfortable driving position, Good for City & Long distance touring, Value for money……. RC200 - Good Pick-up, handling as compared to RS200, Good for Racing and not suitable for touring.
I am going to book a Bajaj Pulsar RS200, what about mileage and vibrations?
29 December 2022 05:51
The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 comes with a mileage of 35-40 kmpl, depending mostly upon the traffic or highway conditions. The harder you pull, the lower the figure would sink. It has good driving dynamics as the full fairing of the bike makes it more durable and wind resistant. It comes with vibrations at higher rpm's but that is the problem of most of the lightweight bikes in the segment. You will get the most comfortable possible 100 kmph cruise quality in the bike as its 199.5 cc motor comes mated to an excellent 6-speed gearbox. The bike produces 24.2 BHP and 18.6 NM of torque. It comes with a price tag of INR 1,18,000 for the non ABS version and 1,30,000 for the ABS version.

Bajaj Pulsar RS200 - What do you mean by ABS & non-ABS?
29 December 2022 05:51
ABS stands for Anti-lock Braking System. The technology is used to prevent the locking of wheel while braking, which helps in preventing the skidding phenomenon on rough or wet surfaces. It also reduces the chances of accidents by efficiently putting the vehicle to the halt. The RS200 comes with a single channel ABS, which means that one wheel of the bike comes equipped with this technology. The brakes are equipped with sensors, which measure the speed of tyre and releases the brake calipers in such an order that the wheel does not lose traction.
