The new BMW F850 GS has been redesigned with a focus on increasing power and torque, along with improved touring and off-road capabilities. The bike features a new steel bridge frame, optimized suspension geometry, and a new fuel tank position for better ergonomics. It also comes with optional equipment like Pro riding modes, ESA electronic suspension adjustment, and a self-amplifying anti-hopping clutch. I think these changes make the F850 GS a top contender in the middle-weight adventure bike segment. | 2018

The 2022 BMW F850 GS and GS Adventure models have been updated to comply with the latest emission norms, with the same 853cc parallel-twin engine producing 93.8bhp and 92Nm of torque. The GS Adventure features a larger 23-litre fuel tank compared to the 15-litre tank on the F850 GS, and it also has a higher seat height. I think the GS Adventure is better suited for long highway hauls, while the F850 GS excels in off-road scenarios.

BMW Motorrad has finally launched the F850 GS after a delayed release, which was due to ensuring the new supplier met BMWs high quality standards. The new model boasts a more powerful engine with a 270-degree firing order, producing a distinctive and exciting sound. It also features improved suspension, adjustable ergonomics, and enhanced off-road capabilities. I believe the wait was worth it, as this bike offers a significant upgrade over its predecessor.
