How long have you been waiting to learn how a Tata Punch comes to grips with Indian road conditions?
From the completely pothole ridden streets of cities to the rough rural paths in between, Indian roads are all different. The Tata Punch, a compact SUV, says it has the necessary robustness to tackle all of these different conditions. Other owners have told us of their different experiences; some laud how the High Andy seems to run nicely over rough, vertical ground and the 8” ground clearance, while others have found it disappointing. All this has led to discussions around what defines a proper vehicle for Indian conditions, the trade off between comfort and ruggedness, and the like, and whether a compact SUV like the Punch can really deliver on its all terrain promises. This debate also questions whether Tata knows and caters to the needs of Indian drivers as well as international brands.
It has held up well through some pretty rough rural roads. It's not quite as capably as it might be in a true 4x4, but it's much more capable than a normal hatchback.
