How long can I depend on the Altroz CNG for?
When you are dealing with a CNG variant, reliability is a very important factor since any vehicle has to be reliable. Since the Tata Altroz CNG is a new entrant into the market, it doesn’t have a long history to rely on. The worry about durability of the CNG kit, the frequency of maintenance required and the longevity of the vehicle is often felt by potential buyers. The issue, however, is that the engine tends to break down at a faster rate when it is switched between petrol and CNG modes often. Moreover, some owners have been unhappy with Tata's after sales service. Can the Altroz CNG be relied upon in the longer term? Is there anything about extended use that others have mentioned that’s a common problem with the soap? We will take a look at what current owners have to say about the Altroz CNG and what the experts have to say about its reliability quotient.
I've heard it's a hit or miss. There are some owners that swear by it and others that have had niggling issues. However, Maruti has a better build of service network compared to Tata, which is a worry in case your ownership is for long term.
