Mahindra India has launched a new variant of its popular sports utility vehicle Scorpio. The new variant "EX" is the entry level Scorpio with a price tag of 7.21 lakh rupees. It is powered by a less powerful diesel engine which generates maximum power of 75 Bhp with maximum torque of 220 Nm. Mahindra Scorpio EX is available in four attractive shades: Rocky Beige, Diamond White, Fiery Black and Mist Silver. As oer ARAI the Scorpio EX will return fuel efficieny of 14kmpl and it can attain the speed of 60 kph in just 11.2 seconds.

Update II: Mahindra Launched 4x4 variant of Scorpio LX
Mahindra has quietly launched the 4x4 variant of Scorpio LX, it is around 1.2 lakhs costly than the 4x2 version. Other than 4x4 capability no changes have been made in terms of styling and design of Scorpio LX. It is powered by the same 2179cc M-hawk diesel engine which generates maximum power of 120 bhp and 290 Nm of torque in a wide range of 1600-2800rpm.
