Monday, January 16, 2012Renault India has finally unveiled their compact sports utility vehicle 'Duster' at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi. Renault Duster is expected to be launched in coming months and compete with the likes of Ford EcoSport, Premier Rio, Mahindra Scorpio, Tata Safari and Maruti XA Alpha in near future. Renault India has not made any official announcement about the launch date of Duster but it is expected to be priced in region of 8-10 lakh rupees. Duster is fourth product by Renault India after Fluence, Koleos and recently launched Pulse. It will initially be launched in only diesel and petrol model is expected to be launched afterwards. Duster will have two engine options - 80 bhp diesel and 110 bhp diesel. The 110 bhp diesel model will also have option of all-wheel 4x4 drive system and will be the most expensive variant of Duster. If Renault India manages to price the Duster under 10-lakh rupees, then it is for sure that it will sell in good numbers because it is presently the best looking and most feature rich compact sports utility vehicle in its class.
