The Pulsar 'Adventure Sport' division got us two new Pulsar's namely the AS150 and AS200. Both the machines share a common structure and design, with minor changes, in terms of equipment used for their construction. Viewing from a considerable distance gives you only 3 points of differentiation. You didn't see a rear disc, it’s an AS150. You see skinny tires, again it’s an AS150 and finally, the front disc seems smaller than usual, AS150 again. Your vision won't give you any other reason to differentiate but the performance specs would say a lot on that.

The Pulsar AS150 comes with a 149.5 cc, air cooled, twin spark engine which produces a max of 16.8 BHP @ 9500 rpm and 13 NM @ 7000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and weighs 143 kgs at top. The front gets a 240 mm disc brake whereas the rear has a 130 mm drum braking system. Tire size of 80/100-17 for the front and 110/80-17 for the rear has been used.

On the other hand, the elder one has a 199.5 cc, liquid cooled, triple spark engine producing a peak of 23.17 BHP @ 9500 rpm and 18.3 NM @ 8000 rpm. The engine gets a 6-speed gearbox and gets double disc brakes (280 mm for the front and 230 mm for the rear). The tire size increases to 100/80-17 for the front and 130/70-17 for the rear. It weighs 10 kg more than its 150 cc cousin at 153 kgs.

Both the bikes come with a projector lamp for a better beam of light and are priced at INR 79,000 and INR 91,550 for the AS150 and AS200 respectively.
