Toyota Corolla Altis Aero

About
The Toyota Corolla Altis Aero is a well-rounded sedan that excels in several key areas. It boasts a comfortable and spacious interior, with seats that are superbly cushioned and supportive, making it perfect for long drives. The cars performance is smooth and effortless, particularly in the 1000-3000 rpm range, and it handles well at high speeds. The ride quality is excellent, absorbing potholes and bumps with ease. Safety is a strong point, with features like multiple airbags, ABS, and hill hold control. However, the interior design and materials, while durable, lack the luxury feel expected at this price point. The car also misses out on some modern features like auto door locking and a high-quality rearview camera. Despite these drawbacks, the Corolla Altis Aero remains a reliable and practical choice for those prioritizing comfort and dependability.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Toyota Corolla Altis Aero is a solid choice for those seeking a reliable and comfortable sedan, but it comes with some caveats. On the positive side, it offers exceptional comfort, with well-cushioned seats and ample space, making it ideal for long drives. The ride quality is commendable, especially over rough roads, and the handling is smooth and stable, even at high speeds. However, the car lacks some modern features that its competitors offer, such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and the interior materials, while durable, feel somewhat cheap and outdated. Safety features are robust, including multiple airbags, but the absence of certain contemporary features like auto door locking and a better rearview camera is noticeable. Overall, its a reliable car that delivers on comfort and performance but may not be the best value for money in its segment.
Price
In India, the Toyota Corolla Altis Aero is positioned in the premium sedan segment, and its pricing reflects this. The ex-showroom price for the Corolla Altis Aero typically ranges between 18 lakh to 22 lakh, depending on the variant and the city. On-road prices, including taxes and other costs, can go up to 25 lakh or more. While the price is on the higher side, Toyotas reputation for reliability and low maintenance costs can justify the investment for many buyers. However, the lack of some modern features and the relatively high price compared to competitors like the Hyundai Elantra or Skoda Octavia might make some potential buyers think twice.
Latest Updates
Monday, 08 January 2024 11:08 PM The 2024 Toyota Corolla Altis has seen significant updates, particularly in its engine and transmission. Toyota has dropped the 1.6-liter 1ZR-FE engine in favor of the 2ZR-FE engine for the non-hybrid variants, such as the 1.8 E and 1.8 G. This new engine adds 18 horsepower and 19 Nm of torque, resulting in a new output of 140 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque. Additionally, Toyota has discontinued the manual transmission (MT) variant, opting for an all-CVT range. I think this move enhances the driving experience and efficiency of the vehicle.
Monday, 08 January 2024 12:44 PM The 2024 Toyota Corolla Altis now comes equipped with a full suite of Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) features, including a pre-collision system, lane departure alert, lane tracing assist, and automatic high beam. The higher trims, such as the 1.8 G GR-S and 1.8 GR-S HEV, also include a reverse camera and blind spot monitors. The higher grades feature new dual LED headlights and the Gazoo Racing Sport (GR Sport) appearance package, which includes 225/45R17 wheels and tires. This new look gives the Corolla Altis a more refined and contemporary appearance. I think the design updates make the car look more aggressive and stylish.
Monday, 08 January 2024 07:22 PM The 2024 Toyota Corolla Altis also offers a hybrid variant, the 1.8 GR-S HEV, which retains the same specs and features as the 1.8 G GR-S but with an electrified powertrain. This variant includes additional features such as automatic LED headlights, a 12.3-inch full digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch infotainment screen with wireless CarPlay, and a 360-degree camera. This makes it a top choice for those looking for both performance and fuel efficiency. I believe the hybrid option is a great move towards sustainability.

Each variant offers a unique set of features, making it easier for buyers to choose based on their needs and budget. I think the pricing is competitive and offers good value for money.
Monday, 08 January 2024 05:43 AM The 2024 Toyota Corolla Altis comes in five distinct colors: Platinum White Pearl, Red Mica Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, Metal Stream Metallic, and Super White II. Mileage
Thursday, 21 November 2024 07:25 AM The mileage of the Toyota Corolla Altis Aero is decent but not outstanding. For the petrol variant, you can expect around 8-10 kmpl in city driving and up to 12-15 kmpl on the highway. For the diesel variant, the mileage is slightly better, ranging from 10-12 kmpl in the city and up to 17-20 kmpl on the highway. These figures are respectable but not the best in its class, especially considering the rising fuel prices. However, the overall fuel efficiency is still manageable and should not be a major deterrent for potential buyers.

Never buy a Toyota Altis. The maintenance cost is too high. In 3 years I have spend 70000 in maintenance. The fuel economy is pathetic. The brake liner is a chronic problem
