Yamaha R15 Sales Report: 7847 Units Sold in June 2018[/caption] The craze for the bike started when it was launched. It was India’s most affordable sports bike. Once the people started to put their faith in the brand, the trust levels were maintained with top-notch service provided by the company. Yamaha has been known in India for its performance bikes; the RX100 was the first performance bike in India for the common man, and the company has made sure that they continue to provide the public with the fast bikes at affordable prices. The R15-S and R15 V2 are powered by a 149cc 1-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, while the R15 V3 comes with a slightly bigger 155cc single cylinder engine. The V3 also comes equipped with VVA to help it better perform at lower and higher revs. It also comes with disc brakes equipped on both ends of the bikes but there is no ABS which may be the only feature that is lacking on this bike. However, with the safety norms kicking in from April next year, a minor upgrade to include the ABS in the R15 is expected by the end of this year.
