Yamaha Introduces Two New FZ-X Colors at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024

At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, Yamaha India introduced two fresh color options for the Yamaha FZ-X: Chrome and Metallic Black.

The Chrome variant features a gleaming chrome tank design with gold-colored wheels, while the remaining panels are coated in black. Conversely, the Metallic Black option envelops the entire motorcycle in a sleek all-black appearance. Mechanically, the bike remains unchanged, powered by the same 148cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 12.4PS and 13.3Nm of torque, and the pricing details for these new color choices are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Yamaha has also recently updated its lineup with new color schemes for various models.

Additionally, the Expo showcased two scooters currently available internationally: the Yamaha Nmax 155 and the Yamaha Grand Filano. A maxi-scooter known for its strong appearance and commanding presence is the Yamaha Nmax 155. It boasts a large swooping windshield design seamlessly integrated into the front apron. Propelled by a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering 15.10PS and 14Nm of torque, the scooter features a telescopic fork and twin-shock absorber suspension setup, along with single disc brakes at both ends. An LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity for call and SMS alerts is one of the notable features.

On the other hand, the Yamaha Grand Filano is a retro-inspired 125cc scooter recently launched in Indonesia. It exudes sleek styling and is equipped with all-LED lighting and a TFT instrument console. Powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder, mild-hybrid engine producing 8.29PS and 10.4Nm of torque, the scooter offers a blend of classic aesthetics and modern technology.

The prospect of these scooters arriving in India is encouraging as it could expand Yamaha's scooter range. The addition of a maxi-scooter alongside the existing Yamaha Aerox 155 could bolster Yamaha's position in the sporty 155cc scooter segment.
