Volkswagen Virtus & Taigun 1.0L Now in Deep Black Pearl

Volkswagen Virtus & Taigun 1.0L Now in Deep Black Pearl

In a strategic move to enhance its lineup, Volkswagen made waves earlier this year with the introduction of the GT Edge Limited Collection in April.  Recognizing the allure of this sleek and stylish addition, Volkswagen has now expanded the availability of the Deep Black Pearl color to the 1.0L variants of these exceptional vehicles.

The Genesis of Deep Black Pearl

The Deep Black Pearl color option initially debuted as part of the GT Edge Limited Collection, a testament to Volkswagen's commitment to offering distinctive and premium choices for its discerning customers.

Expanding the Horizon

With the recent announcement, Volkswagen has broadened the spectrum by making the Deep Black Pearl color available for the 1.0L variants of both the Virtus and Taigun models.

A Closer Look at Deep Black Pearl

The Deep Black Pearl color exudes a sense of understated elegance and sophistication.

Topline Trims and Stylish Accents

The availability of the Deep Black Pearl color in the range-topping Topline trims further emphasizes Volkswagen's commitment to offering a premium and stylish driving experience. These trims, known for their feature-rich offerings and top-notch specifications, now come adorned in the sleek Deep Black Pearl exterior, adding an extra layer of sophistication to the already impressive lineup.

The Carbon Steel Grey matte colour is not available in the 1.0L variants yet, it is currently available only with the 1.5L GT models. We expect the German carmaker to introduce this colour as well in the near future for the 1.0L variants.

Couple of weeks back, Volkswagen launched the Sound Edition with the Virtus and Taigun 1.0L variants. It came with a sub-woofer, amplifier and “enhanced audio experience with a specially-tuned audio system” along with electric front seats, puddle lamps, footwell illumination and Sound branding.

The 1.0L variants are powered by the same 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 113.42 HP and 178 Nm of torque. It is available with the option of both 6-speed automatic and 6-speed manual transmission.

With the frequent updates and special editions, Volkswagen aims to boost the sales of the Virtus and Taigun and keep these products in the news.

The Taigun Deep Black Pearl is on sale in a price range of Rs 15.84-17.60 Lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the Virtus with the new colour option costs Rs 14.90-16.48 lakh (ex-showroom). Available only in the top-spec trim, the new paint option can be chosen only with the 1.0-litre engine variant. However, one can select either manual or automatic transmission option. Other than the new black paint option, the new models even get chrome appliqués on the door handles and bumpers. The interior remains the same. We feel that the new paint shade adds a touch of sophistication to the exterior. Meanwhile, the chrome bits should appeal to the typical Indian car buyer. In terms of mechanicals, there are no changes. Both the new versions come with the 1.0-litre TSI petrol mill. The motor continues to belt out a maximum power of 112 hp and a peak torque of 178 Nm. The powertrain specifications for these Volkswagen cars remain consistent, ensuring a reliable and efficient performance that aligns with the standards set by the 1.0-litre TSI engine.
