Bajaj Urbanite Electric Scooter Spotted Testing Again in India

Urbanite electric scooter, the upcoming product by Bajaj Auto Limited, has been spotted testing yet again in India. Bajaj is a global brand when it comes to manufacturing both two-wheelers and three-wheelers. The company became very popular with scooters like Chetak, Priya, Sunny, and the Legend. But with the growing preference for cars and motorcycles, the Bajaj scooters lost their influence among the buyers and thus the brand stopped manufacturing the same in 2005. These images show the left and the rear side of the upcoming scooter. The spy shots are not very clear but still, they give a closer look at the upcoming two-wheeler. The scooter has a single piece grab rail at the back for pillion's safety. There is no exhaust canister on the test mule, making it clear that it is an all-electric scooter. On digging deep into these spy shots we noticed that the front suspension gets its strength from the trailing arms. These detailings have been contrasted with multi-spoke alloy wheels. Earlier, the sketches of the upcoming model were spotted on the internet but the test mule is a little different from its sketches. The initial sketches had a combustion engine whereas the one you see here is an electric scooter. Bajaj Urbanite is expected to be priced around INR 1 lakh and will prove to be a rival for Ather, Okinawa, and 22Motors. Images Source
