Bajaj Pulsar NS160 was recently spotted in India, carrying the red test plates and no camouflage on its body. The NS160 uses a bigger engine than all standard Pulsars of this range, producing nothing less than 15.5 PS and 14.6 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and gets single channel ABS on the Turkey spec model. It shares most of the parts with the bigger NS200.

Bajaj actually has no space to fit the Pulsar NS160 in the lineup. But to compete with TVS Apache RTR 160, Suzuki Gixxer 155 and Honda CB Hornet 160R, Bajaj might launch Pulsar NS160 in India next year with an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 80,000. The new engine on NS160 is a reworked version of Bajaj's 150cc motor. The 160.3 cc, single cylinder, triple spark oil-cooled engine is good for 15.5 PS at 8500 rpm and 14.6 Nm at 6500 rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and weighs just 135 kg. The front tyre measures 100/80-17 while the rear is 110/70-17. Pulsar NS160 gets an oil-cooled engine and gets single channel ABS as a standard feature in Turkey. The bike is Euro 4 compliant, which means it is BS4 ready according to the emission norms in India.
