The TVS Ronin is one of the more interesting bikes in the quarter-liter class which was created to bridge the gap between the roadster, cruiser, and scrambler bike classifications. The main competitor for Ronin is the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. For the festive season, TVS Ronin gets a new Special Edition makeover, which is exclusively available in top-spec TD trim and costs Rs. 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom).
TVS Ronin TD Special Edition
The TVS Ronin is driven by a 225.9cc engine that produces 20.4 PS of max power at 7,750 rpm and 19.93 Nm of peak torque at 3,750 rpm. It is coupled to a 5-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch. The bike includes USD forks up front and a mono-shock unit in the back with a 7-step adjustable preload.
Safety with Dual-Channel ABS
The SS and DS models have single-channel ABS, whilst the Ronin TD has dual-channel ABS. The Special Edition is only available in top-spec TD trim. The main highlight of the TVS Ronin TD Special Edition is its unique Nimbus Grey three-tone color scheme. Along with that, TVS is bundling a few add-ons from Ronin's wide accessory lineup.
Special Edition's Triple-Tone Color Scheme
Starting with the Nimbus Grey triple-tone color scheme, it stands out from other common shades. The major base coat is similar to Nardo Grey, and it is supplemented with larger White stripes and smaller Red stripes. When these colors are combined, they create a triple-tone impression. Not only that, but the Special Edition features TVS Ronin branding on the wheels, a blacked-out headlight bezel, and a completely blacked-out engine bay and componentry in the motorcycle's lower half. TVS Ronin accessories
The TVS Ronin boasts a classic look with elements including a round headlamp, a tear-drop-shaped fuel tank, and a large rear mudguard. TVS has launched a wide range of official Ronin accessories for customization and increased functionality. These are divided into three categories: style, convenience, and touring accessories.
Users can customize their look with attachments such as an engine cover, bar end weights, an EFI cover, a tank grip, and a front brake reservoir lid. Some components, such as the front brake reservoir cover, are available in both Silver and Black. Tank grip is functionally important since it improves bike control. Users can enhance functionality by purchasing accessories such as a visor, tank bag, USB charger, and adjustable lever kit. Saddlebag stays, rear racks, saddle bags, and tail bags are examples of touring gear. There are various accessory kits available, such as a rear rack kit, style kit, urban kit, and tour kit. When compared to purchasing individual elements separately, the kits may be less expensive.
TVS Ronin features
The TVS Ronin is all-LED, with a fully digital instrument console. TVS SmartXonnect connectivity platform is standard on the top-spec TD model. Voice assistance, turn-by-turn navigation, estimated time of arrival (ETA), incoming phone alerts/receive, custom window notices, and ride analytics are among the features.
In terms of convenience, the TVS Ronin has an integrated starter generator (ISG), distance to empty (DTE), gear change assist, side stand indicator with engine cut-off function, danger lamp, two trip meters, and service due indication. Other notable characteristics include an asymmetrical speedometer, the trademark T-shaped pilot bulb, block tread tyres, Rain and Urban ABS modes, and glide-through technology (GTT).
The color possibilities for the TVS Ronin are determined by the variation. Color themes for SS, DS, and TD are monotone, dual-tone, and triple-tone, respectively. Lightning Black and Magma Red are available for the SS, Stargaze Black and Delta Blue for the DS, and Galactic Grey and Dawn Orange for the TD version.
