TVS Motor Company has revealed the all-new TVS Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect variant in order to compete and provide customers with a better riding experience. With this latest addition to its lineup, TVS has expanded its SmartXonnect suite to include a host of segment-first features, setting a new benchmark in the scooter market. The TVS Jupiter 125 is available in three variants: Drum Alloy, Disc, and the feature-packed SmartXonnect model, with prices ranging from Rs 86,405 to Rs 96,855. While the Drum Alloy and Disc variants offer a variety of color choices the SmartXonnect variant is available in Elegant Red and Matte Copper Bronze.

Features and Styling

The TVS Jupiter 125 has an excellent set of characteristics that set it apart in its class. A MetalMAXX body, an LED headlamp, and a front external fuel cap are among the highlights. The scooter lives up to its 'Zyada Se Bhi Zyada' tagline with a spacious under-seat storage compartment that can accommodate two full-face helmets which makes it one of the largest in its category and it also offers one of the longest seats, ensuring a comfortable ride for both the rider and pillion. In terms of performance, the Jupiter 125 excels with its ETFi (Eco Thrust Fuel Injector), delivering excellent mileage and acceleration.

The TVS Jupiter 125's main feature is the TVS intelliGO, which improves riding comfort, fuel efficiency, and emissions. This technology intelligently shuts off the engine during long periods of idling such as at traffic lights, resulting in a greener and more efficient journey. The scooter sports a progressive neo-masculine styling that includes reshaped turn indicators on its front apron, sharp LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), a single-piece saddle with a pillion backrest, a headlamp cluster on the handlebars, and diamond-cut alloy wheels.

What’s New with TVS Jupiter 125 SmartXonnect?

The SmartXonnect model adds a considerable technological update to the TVS Jupiter 125. This model features the same dual instrument cluster layout that is also available on the TVS Ntorq 125 XT scooter and the dual clusters provide Bluetooth communication and unlock a slew of previously unavailable Jupiter functions. A side stand indicator, an engine inhibitor, an all-in-one lock, and a mobile charger within the front glove box are just a few of the amenities that will make your ride more convenient.

The dual-screen layout includes an LCD and a TFT color display. The LCD display handles vital vehicular instrumentation such as speedometer, odometer, trip meter, and fuel gauge. The second TFT screen is a game-changer as it enables TVS Connect mobile app integration for both Android and iOS users. This integration enables 'SmartXtalk' and 'SmartXtrack', offering features like turn-by-turn navigation, voice assistance, call, and message notifications, social media alerts, food and shopping app notifications, real-time sports score updates, weather forecasts, and news updates. These features connect the rider to the digital world while also assuring safety by showing information within the scooter's instrumentation when it is safe to do so.

Engine and Componentry

The TVS Jupiter 125 is powered by a 124.8cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine, which is also used in the TVS Ntorq. This engine generates 6kW of power at 6,500 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm offering a fine balance of performance and efficiency and the scooter delivers an impressive mileage of around 50 km per liter. Suspension is handled by a front telescopic suspension and 3-step-adjustable rear shocks with Monotube Canister Gas-charged shocks, providing a comfortable and smooth ride. Braking duties are carried out by drum units as standard at both ends, with the option of a front disc brake for added stopping power.

Competition and Rivals

The TVS Jupiter 125 faces competition from other 125cc scooters in the Indian market. Competitors include popular models like the Honda Activa 125, Dio 125, Hero Destini 125, Hero Maestro 125, Yamaha Fascino, Ray ZR 125, Suzuki Access 125, Avenis 125, and TVS's own NTorq 125 and this segment is highly competitive, and the TVS Jupiter 125 is ready to take on its rivals with its impressive set of features.
