The first to launch will be the Toyota Rumion, which is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. It will be followed by the next-gen Toyota Vellfire, which is a full-size luxury MPV. The third model is a badge-engineered version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, which is a sub-4 meter crossover.

The Toyota Rumion will be launched in India in August 2023. It will have a few styling changes to its plastic parts, including a new bumper, fog lamp surrounds, grille, and alloy wheels. The interior will have a blacked-out dashboard with wood-like inserts and black upholstery. It will be offered as a 7-seater only.

The Toyota Vellfire will be launched in September 2023. It is a full import and will be based on Toyota's TNGA-K modular platform. It will be offered with a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol-hybrid powertrain that has a combined power output of 250hp.

The third model is a badge-engineered version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx and it is expected to launch around Diwali 2023. The changes to the Toyota version will be minimal and only cosmetic. It will be offered with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine in both petrol and CNG guise, along with the 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes. It will also likely carry over the 1.0-litre BoosterJet turbo-petrol engine with its manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.

These three new models will help Toyota expand its product lineup in India and compete with other automakers in the country.

The average mileage of both city and highway use that I am getting on my Swift diesel is 24 kmpl. Most of my driving is around the city with light to medium traffic conditions. The thing that you have to keep in mind is that while you are driving, you should keep the rpm of the engine constant and try to drive in a higher gear. Use an engine oil that assures you a better quality and avoid sudden braking at traffic lights and slow down your car beforehand.
