The sales report for the two-wheeler segment for June 2022 has been out and, to no surprise, Hero Motocorp’s Splendor has maintained its place at the top. With a record sale of 2,70,923 units in June, compared to 2,64,009 units in the same period last year, the entry-level commuter proved to be the first choice of Indian buyers once again.
The Honda Activa came in second place. In June 2022, sales nearly doubled to 1,84,305 units, up 95.50 per cent from 94,274 units in June 2021. The third place is occupied by the Honda CB Shine with the sale of 1,25,947 units as opposed to 71,869 units in June 2021. The bike witnessed a positive YoY sales growth of 75.2%.
Next on the list is Hero HF Deluxe, with a significant sale of 1,13,155 units against the 1,10,724 units in the same time period in the previous year. This two-wheeler has a sales growth of 2.2 per cent, while the fifth place holder in the list of the top 10 is the Bajaj Pulsar bike. It sold 83,723 units last month, up from 79,150 in June 2022, or a 5.7% increase year on year.
If we talk about the last two-wheeler on the top 10 list, it is the Bajaj Platina. The motorcycle stood in 10th place with a unit sales volume of 27,732 units in June this year. This sales rate is 35.9 per cent less than the June 2021 sales which were 43,313 units.
