Hero MotoCorp is planning to launch the new model of the Karizma sports bike on 29 August 2023. The company had recently showcased the bike at a dealer event and has now released teasers of the bike. The new Hero Karizma is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 1.60 lakh to Rs 1.90 lakh, ex-showroom.
The new Karizma features a sleek and stylish design. It has a single-layer side fairing that extends all the way to the headlamp. The panels have a chiselled profile and a unique design, which is unlike any other Hero bike currently in production.
The side fairing only covers a small portion of the engine unit, leaving several machine components exposed. This provides the bike with a more aggressive appearance while also providing a good look at the new engine.
It's anticipated that the new Karizma will be offered in a range of colours, including monotone and dual-tone variants. The model that was on show at the dealer event was an eye-catching glossy red with white graphics on the fairing and an engine case that was brass in colour.
The new Karizma is also expected to come with a number of other features that are sure to appeal to riders. One of the most striking features of the new Karizma is the blacked-out alloy wheels in addition to a step-up seat design. The fuel tank has grooves to ensure a snug fit for the knees, and the stubby upswept exhaust adds to the bike's aggressive look. The footpegs are slightly rear-set and the handlebar is ergonomically placed for optimal comfort and control.
The new Karizma will be powered by a 210cc liquid-cooled engine. This engine with a 6-speed gearbox is expected to produce around 25 bhp of power and 22 Nm of torque. This is a significant upgrade over the original Karizma, which produced 20 hp. The new engine is also expected to be more fuel-efficient than the old one, thanks to its liquid-cooling system.
The new Karizma is also expected to come with a number of other features such as dual-channel ABS, Bluetooth-based connectivity functions, a digital instrument console, LED lighting, a real-time fuel efficiency indicator, and turn-by-turn navigation is also expected.
