Tata Sierra’s Final Design Leaked in Exclusive Patent Shots

Tata Motors is gearing up for the return of the iconic Sierra SUV, and recently leaked patent images offer a tantalizing glimpse into its final design. Set to hit the roads in 2025 with both electric and internal combustion powertrains, the Sierra seems poised to make a statement with a design that echoes the awe-inspiring concept showcased at Auto Expo 2023.

Striking Exterior Design: A Familiar Yet Futuristic Presence

The leaked patent images confirm that the production-spec Tata Sierra EV stays true to the captivating Auto Expo concept. The front fascia boasts an upright nose with a distinctive line delineating the front bumper, faux skid plate, and a broad grille. The split headlamp setup, with main headlamps just above the grille, adds a futuristic touch. A prominent LED lightbar stretches across the top of the nose, featuring the iconic Tata logo between the light bar and grille. The flat bonnet integrates seamlessly with the light bar, featuring two vertical creases at each end.

Moving to the sides, the rectangular wheel arches continue to stand out with contrast body cladding. Noteworthy additions include increased body cladding on doors and running boards, merging seamlessly with cladding on wheel arches. Unique creases on both doors connect the wheels, while a strong shoulder line starting from the rear door extends to the fender, merging harmoniously with the tail-lamps.

The glasshouse retains the distinctive B-pillar design seen in the concept, with the quarter glass behind the rear door incorporating unique touches reminiscent of the facelifted Harrier and Safari. While the rear styling isn't visible in the leaked images, it's expected to mirror the concept with realistic adjustments to the rear bumper, tail-lamp area, and other details.

Powertrain Prowess: Electric Vibes and Beyond

While specific details about the powertrain options remain undisclosed, the Sierra is set to offer an electric variant. Following Tata Motors' strategy for the Curvv, the Sierra may debut as an EV before introducing its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart.

As Tata Motors focuses on upcoming launches like the Punch EV, Harrier EV, and the Curvv, enthusiasts can anticipate more comprehensive details about the Sierra as its market launch approaches in 2025. Stay tuned for the Sierra's grand comeback, marrying legendary design with cutting-edge technology!
