Suzuki has officially announced the prices for the new 2017 GSX-R series of sport bikes. GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R are priced at GBP 13,249 (INR 11.12 lakhs) and GBP 16,099 (INR 13.50 lakhs) respectively. Suzuki's GSX-R1000 was always considered an under-powered option of the mighty liter class super bikes. Getting away from this common consideration, Suzuki recenly unveiled the 2017 GSX-R1000 with much more power and even a track based, even more powerful GSX-R1000R at the Intermot 2016.

The new 2017 GSX-R1000 concept was first seen at EICMA 2015 while the production version looks more or less the same as the concept model. It is powered by a new 999.8cc inline-4 engine with VVT (variable valve timing) technology, producing a mind blowing 202 PS @ 13,200 rpm and 117.6 Nm of torque @ 10,800 rpm. Not just that, it carries class leading technologies like 6-axis inertial measurement unit and 10-level traction control.

The wet weight of the bike tips the scale at 200 kg, bringing it back into the league of impressive power-weight ratio machines. The real world implementation of Suzuki GSX-R1000's VVT is highly awaited as it is the first bike to carry the technology in its engine. The huge TFT acts as its instrument console and looks impressive at the first glance.
The GSX-R1000R is more race focused and comes with Showa balance free front forks and even balance free rear cushion shock. It uses lighter components and comes with launch control, quick-shifter and even cornering ABS. It comes with all the abilities to become the king of super bikes in the coming time.
