Suzuki Planning to Launch a New 250cc Adventure Bike in India

According to the recent reports, Suzuki is planning to launch a new 250cc adventure bike in the Indian market. The upcoming quarter-litre adventure tourer will be joining the brand's 250cc lineup, which currently has Gixxer SF 250 and will soon get one more addition in the form of Gixxer 250 streetfighter. Once launched in India, the motorcycle will compete in the market with the likes of Hero XPulse 200 series and the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The brand is likely to debut their upcoming 250cc product after 2021 as the motorcycle is still under development in Japan. Based on the design language of V-Storm 250, the upcoming 250cc adventure bike from Suzuki will feature a beak-style front fascia in addition to a taller windscreen. The motorcycle will get tall handlebar set up in addition to forwarding setup for the footpegs which in turn will add to the motorcycle's touring style. On the other hand, the adventure motorcycle will get a Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 inspired fully-digital instrument console though the suspension duties on the motorcycle are expected to be revised. The 249cc single-cylinder fuel-injected motor offers a maximum power of 26.5HP at 9,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine will be further mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine will be most probably tuned to suit the characteristics of an adventure motorcycle. The suspension duties on the motorcycle will be handled by conventional telescopic forks at the front while the rear of the motorcycle will get a preload-adjustable monoshock. The 250cc motorcycle from Suzuki is likely to get disc brakes on either side while the brand will be equipping the motorcycle with dual-channel ABS as standard. Once launched in India, the Suzuki's 250cc adventure bike will be available in two different variants namely: Standard and XT. The former is expected to feature 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends while the latter will feature a 19-inch alloy wheel at the front in addition to a more muscular profile and better adventure capabilities.
