The chassis and the mechanical components of the bike are based on the Suzuki GSX-S150, and while the naked roadster gets split seats, the Bandit 150 will most likely feature a single-piece seat. The tail section of the Bandit will also be lowered a bit more than its GSX-S150 sibling, and its instrument cluster will be brand new. The Bandit 150 will draw its power from the same engine that we saw on the GSX-S150. The 147.3cc single-cylinder fuel-injected liquid-cooled engine develops a maximum power of 19 hp and a peak torque of 13.9 Nm on the GSX-S150, and the company is expected to use the same engine on the Bandit 150 with some minor re-tunes. The 6-speed transmission is expected to be seen on the Bandit as well. Both the ends of the GSX-S150 feature disc brakes, which will most likely come to the Bandit as well. However, the offering of the ABS still remains a question. Suzuki is most likely to position the Bandit 150 below the GSX-S150 in the Indonesian markets. The launch of the bike is aimed at increasing the market share of the company in the international markets. The main rivals of this bike will be the Honda CB150SF and the Yamaha V-Ixion. Alongside the unveiling of the Bandit 150, Suzuki will reportedly unveil the Burgman Street maxi-scooter as well at the GIIAS 2018.
