Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 Spotted Testing on Indian Roads: Back on August 29, 2020, the much-anticipated 650cc Royal Enfield cruiser motorcycle was spotted testing on the Indian roads for the first time. Since then, it has become one of the most talked-about motorcycles in the country, and it has also been spotted testing multiple times at random locations across India. As per the latest details available, the all-new 650cc bike would be making its official debut by the end of this year and it is expected to be launched in the Indian markets sometime in the next year. Recently, the Chennai-based manufacturer also trademarked a new brand name - Shotgun, and the upcoming cruiser motorcycle is expected to be the first product to launch under this brand name. It is good for a maximum power of 46.8 HP @ 7150 rpm along with a peak torque of 52 Nm @ 5250 rpm. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper and assist clutch as standard. The brand is expected to tune the power output of the engine to suit the characteristics of a cruiser motorcycle. Some of the key hardware components of the upcoming RE motorcycle include the likes of upside-down (USD) front forks, a twin exhaust system, front and rear disc brakes, a dual-channel ABS unit, and the 650cc motorcycle will most probably also get Bluetooth connectivity and a turn-by-turn navigation system. In terms of pricing, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is expected to get an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 3.50 lakhs to INR 3.75 lakhs.
