Royal Enfield Himalayan Sleet to Launch on January 12, 2018

Royal Enfield Himalayan Sleet is Coming! 2018 RE Himalayan Fi will soon launch with a new shade from the Indian manufacturer. The spied shade is a camouflage pattern that is seen on military cars of some countries. Royal Enfield has officially confirmed that new version will be sold as Himalayan Sleet and will launch in India on January 12, 2018. Apart from the front higher placed fender and fuel tank, everything else remains same the as Black shade. The pattern in made out of three different shades and looks quite unique when compared to those patterns seen on test products. The image seen here is from a stockyard where other bikes can be seen hidden under their respective covers and protectors. This model seems ready for dispatch to a dealer. The poor quality components failed under standard riding conditions whereas the bike was promoted as a go anywhere product through its launch videos. The motorcycle received certain amount of beautification through matte finished parts on the fuel injected model, along with the assurance of quality this time from Royal Enfield. Well, it seems like they kept the word as no report regarding any failure of component was recorded from the fuel injected version in recent times.

Himalayan is powered by a 411cc, single cylinder engine that carries oil cooling and fuel injection as standard. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. RE claims 24.5 BHP and 32 Nm of torque from the motorcycle. It is the only adventure motorcycle that sums up under INR 2 lakh (on-road) in India. The next option that comes with similar features is Kawasaki Versys X-300 at INR 4.6 lakh. The launch of Versys will have no effect on Himalayan as both belong to two separate price points. Still, if Himalayan proves its worth this time, it will be the most effective all terrain product of India soon.
