Himalayan 411cc has its advantages but it falls short in terms of numbers when compared to competitors such as the KTM 390 Adventure. KTM offers more horsepower compared to the Himalayan and users have noted the Himalayan's limitations when negotiating steeper inclines in slippery conditions. All of these issues are expected to be resolved with the upcoming Royal Enfield 450 ADV.
This new ADV bike has a radically different profile than Royal Enfield's standard design language. The lack of resemblance to Himalayan is most likely intentional.
