Yamaha R15 Version 3 is now available in India for INR 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It is not just the stock version that raised eyebrows at the Auto Expo 2018 as the R15 Version 3 Race-Spec variant took the performance quotient higher by a considerable margin. The use of Daytona free-flow exhaust, track-spec Metzeler rear tire, and frame-friendly body sliders have raised the overall component list on the R15 V3. This typical race-spec version generates an approximate maximum power of 22HP!
The engine components remain exactly the same as the stock bike. Yamaha R15 Version 3.0 is the most impressive product that Indian fans got through the Auto Expo 2018. It is affordable (compared to track spec machines) and will keep operating costs lower for beginners in terms of track racing. Frame sliders are helpful when sportbikes suddenly fall while stock MRF tires won’t work that well on high-speed track chasing. The total cost for the Race-Spec variant is INR 1.56 lakh.
