In the latest market update, MG Hector prices have experienced an upward revision, with an increase of up to Rs. 40,000 in November 2023. This adjustment follows a price reduction observed in September, and the revised ex-showroom price now starts at Rs. 15 lakhs.

Various trims of the MG Hector have witnessed price adjustments, with significant increments across different variants. Notable increases include Rs. 27,000 for the Style Petrol, Rs. 31,000 for the Shine Petrol, and Smart Pro Petrol and Smart Petrol are both priced at Rs. 35,000. The Sharp Pro Petrol and Savvy Pro Petrol also see a Rs. 35,000 increase, while the Shine Diesel and Smart Diesel incur hikes of Rs. 31,000 and Rs. 30,000, respectively. The top-tier Smart Pro Diesel and Sharp Pro Diesel experience a notable Rs. 40,000 surge in prices. It is noteworthy that Hector's price had decreased in September, and this latest adjustment marks a change in that trend.

Features and Highlights

The 2023 MG Hector boasts an interior rich in features, anchored by a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system offering navigation, internet connectivity, and seamless integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and the horizontal screen functions as the control center for air conditioning ensuring a user-friendly and integrated experience. Safety measures are enhanced with a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, and standard safety features include four-wheel disc brakes, ABS with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), the option for up to six airbags, and various other crucial safety components.

Under the Hood

The MG Hector provides a choice between two robust engines. The 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine generates 141 bhp and 250 Nm of torque while the 2.0-liter diesel engine delivers an impressive 168 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. Both engine variants are paired with a dependable 6-speed manual transmission, and for those opting for the turbo-petrol engine with an automatic transmission, MG offers a CVT option.

While price hikes are a common practice in the automotive industry this adjustment is unlikely to impact the SUV's sales significantly given its established positioning and market presence.
