Aprilia SXR 160 Starts Reaching Dealerships (Live Photos): Aprilia SXR 160 is one of the last and much-awaited products of 2020 in the two-wheeler segment, and it has been recently launched in India with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.26 lakhs. Mechanically, the maxi-scooter draws its power from a 160cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 3-valve, fuel-injected engine that develops 10.9 HP at 7100 rpm and 11.6 Nm of peak torque at 6000 rpm. The all-new SXR 160 gets a seven-litre fuel tank, which is more than the Aprilia SR series of scooters. In addition to this, the SXR 160 is also equipped with an all-digital instrument console. The production of the SXR 160 was started by Piaggio India at its Baramati plant in Maharashtra a few weeks ago while the scooter has also started reaching dealerships across the country. First showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo, the SXR 160 is based on SR 160, which is sharing the same frame and engine but gets a wider body, and a new LCD instrument console with wider tyres as well. It features 12-inch 120/70 front and rear tyres. The engine of SXR 160 is paired to a CVT automatic transmission. Its suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks upfront along with a mono-shock at the rear. For braking performance, SXR is equipped with a 220mm front disc brake and a 140mm rear drum brake. The scooter comes with single-channel ABS as a standard feature. The maxi-scooter is available in four shades: Red, Blue, Black, and White.
