The model was considered overpriced with INR 26,999 as the old starting price for the 4GB/64GB model. Those looking for a model with more RAM and storage can consider the 6GB/128GB variant of Nokia 8.1 for INR 22,999. The model was earlier available for INR 29,999 and was not affordable enough to compete with the likes of Oppo and Xiaomi smartphones.
