Volkswagen India recently unveiled the Virtus GT Plus Sport concept at its Annual Brand Conference 2024. While labeled as a concept, the car was displayed in its production form, indicating a possible launch in the near future.
Exterior Features
The Volkswagen Virtus GT Plus Sport sports darkened headlamps, a Carbon Steel Grey roof, red GT branding on the grille and fenders, and dark chrome door handles. The car also boasts red brake callipers, glossy black accents on the front grille, trapezoidal wings, diffuser, ORVMs, window line, 16-inch wheels, and spoiler. These design elements give the Virtus GT Plus Sport a sporty and aggressive look, setting it apart from the standard Virtus models.
Interior Highlights
Inside, the Virtus GT Plus Sport offers a premium and sporty cabin. It features black leatherette seats with grey stitching, a black roof headliner, and glossy black dashboard decor. The Sport steering wheel comes with grey stitching, red accents, and a GT insert, enhancing the sporty feel of the interior. Aluminium pedals add to the sporty aesthetic, while glossy black accents can be found on the grab handles, roof lamp housing, and sun visors.
Performance
The Virtus GT Plus Sport is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, TSI turbo-petrol engine producing 148bhp and 250Nm of torque. This engine is likely to be paired with a seven-speed DSG unit, providing smooth and responsive performance. Volkswagen may also offer a six-speed manual transmission option for those who prefer a more engaging driving experience.
