New Tata Sierra TV Commercial Officially Released

After the official unveiling of the Tata Sierra concept at the Auto Expo 2020, the brand has recently released its TV Commercial. If launched, the production variant of the new Tata Sierra will be available in petrol, diesel as well as electric versions in the Indian market. The TV commercial of the SUV showcases the concept in all its glory. It is based on the Altroz ALFA platform and carries the signature design elements of the original Sierra model as it features the same curved-over rear-side windows.

The wheelbase of the SUV stands at 2,450mm. The design of the new Tata Sierra concept is quite futuristic. Its resemblance with the original Sierra can be justified only from the single-piece rear glass shield that goes all the way to the roof of the SUV. To make the new model of Sierra more attractive, the front fascia comes featured with a sleek grille that is mated to even sleeker headlight units. It gets massive wheel arches which make the SUV look bold and powerful. The concept showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 gets a unique layout for the doors. The Sierra concept has no rear door on the left-hand side but the right side of the car features a sliding rear door. The cabin of the car has a lounge-like seating area while the front passenger seat can also be rotated to face the rear side. Mechanically, the SUV is expected to be available with a 1.2L turbocharged petrol and a 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine options that are available on the Tata Altroz. The EV variant of the car will get the same technical specifications as that of the electric variant of the Altroz. The new Tata Sierra will be positioned between the Nexon and the Harrier in the brand’s portfolio. It will compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. These two cars currently dominate the midsize premium SUV segment in India.
