Audi has introduced the refreshed A3 line-up comprising the A3 Sportback, A3 saloon, and A3 allstreet, featuring updated exteriors, revamped interiors, upgraded MMI systems, and a host of additional features. Later this year, Audi plans to introduce the performance-focused S3 and a plug-in hybrid model to complement the refreshed A3 range. For the European market, all A3 models will be manufactured at Audi's Ingolstadt plant and available for order starting in March.
2025 Audi A3 Facelift: Design
The A3 facelift features a broader and flatter hexagonal frameless grille than the previous model. It also features redesigned headlights, a new bumper with large air inlets, and daytime running lights with four customizable light signatures. The rear end features black inlays, a revised bumper, and redesigned taillights that the RS3 influenced. For the A3 facelift, Audi has unveiled three new paint jobs: District Green, Ascari Blue, and Progressive Red. The A3 Allstreet, a crossover model, boasts off-road design elements like roof rails, dark rocker side skirts, larger wheels, and increased ground clearance. Both models offer optional 18-inch and 19-inch wheels. The A3 facelift Sportback has a luggage capacity of 380 liters, expandable to 1,200 liters with the rear seat folded. The optional alternates include an electric tailgate, a tow hitch that can be removed, and a storage and trunk package.
2025 Audi A3 Facelift: Interior
The interior of the A3 has been significantly enhanced with a new blade design for the air-con vents, a redesigned center console, and a new gear selector design. Standard equipment now includes a three-spoke leather steering wheel, air conditioning, a front center armrest, and an ambient light package. The inside illumination has been enhanced with lighted cup holders and contour lighting surrounding the center console. The fabric panel was laser-cut 300 times to enable the front doors' backlighting. The music experience is improved by the new Sonos sound system with big speakers. The A3 facelift offers two fabric inlays, including a textured fabric made from recycled polyester and Dinamica microfiber. The 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 12.3-inch driver display are carried over, but the A3 facelift now features the latest iteration of Audi's MMI. Standard safety features include pre-sense front, collision avoidance and turn assist, and lane departure warning. Additionally, there are four USB Type-C ports in the front and rear. Optional extras in some markets include adaptive cruise assist, high-beam assist, and two-zone temperature control.
2025 Audi A3 Facelift: Engine
In Europe, the A3 facelift models will initially be available with two engine options: a 35 TFSI 1.5-liter petrol engine with 150PS, mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission and mild hybrid assistance, and a 35 TDI diesel motor with 150PS, coupled to a seven-speed automatic unit. The A3 Sportback and A3 Saloon will get further gasoline and diesel iterations in the upcoming quarter. By year's end, there will be a plug-in hybrid variant available.
