MG Motor India, in celebration of its centenary year, has decided to update the pricing structure for its 2024 lineup of vehicles. As part of this initiative, the company has unveiled a new variant of its ZS EV model called the Executive trim. Positioned below the existing Excite variant, the ZS EV Executive comes with a competitive price tag of Rs. 18.98 lakh (ex-showroom). This represents a significant reduction of up to Rs. 1 lakh compared to the previous entry-level Excite variant, making electric mobility more accessible to consumers.
Despite the price adjustment, the ZS EV Executive retains its predecessor's impressive mechanical specifications. It continues to be powered by a robust 50.3kWh battery pack which supplies energy to the motor allowing it to deliver a formidable output of 173bhp and 280Nm of torque. What's more, the battery's performance is complemented by its fast-charging capability which can charge from 0 to 80 percent in just 60 minutes using a 50kW DC fast charger. Additionally, the ZS EV Executive boasts an impressive ARAI-certified range of up to 461km on a single charge, ensuring ample driving range for daily commutes and long journeys alike.
Another noteworthy event is that MG has announced changes to the Comet EV's pricing which is a compact electric vehicle. This model now offers even greater affordability, with the entry-level Pace variant receiving a price reduction of Rs. 1 lakh. Similarly, the Play and Plush variants have also seen their prices slashed by Rs. 1.40 lakh, making them more accessible to a wider range of consumers. By making electric vehicles more accessible and affordable for the Indian market MG is demonstrating its commitment to supporting the continuous transition towards sustainable mobility solutions. This is reflected in the price modifications made.
