Mercedes-Benz has unfurled its latest opulent offering on Indian roads, unveiling the facelifted GLS. Positioned as the epitome of luxury SUVs, the third-generation GLS receives a mid-life update, infusing Maybach-inspired elements into its design. Priced at Rs. 1.32 crore (ex-showroom) for the GLS 450 4MATIC and Rs. 1.37 crore (ex-showroom) for the GLS 450d 4MATIC, this SUV embarks on a mission to redefine premium experiences.

Striking Design Evolution

The exterior of the GLS Facelift undergoes a significant evolution with design elements borrowed from Maybach luxury. A G-Wagon-inspired grille takes center stage, flanked by new headlights and taillights, and complemented by sportier front and rear bumpers. The addition of contemporary alloy wheels enhances its road presence marking a notable departure from its predecessor.

Meanwhile, the GLS 450d 4MATIC boasts a 3.0L 6-cylinder diesel engine with 262 bhp and a muscular 750 Nm of torque. Both variants incorporate the 48V mild hybrid ISG technology providing an additional boost of power. The performance is seamlessly orchestrated by the 9G Tronic 9-speed automatic gearbox ensuring a smooth and responsive driving experience.
