Mercedes-Benz Concept EQG Revealed in India

The Mercedes-Benz EQG concept, which was first unveiled in 2021, has surprised enthusiasts by making its official debut in India ahead of its showcase at the Bharat Mobility Show 2024. Notably, it has been confirmed that the production version will also be launched in India once it's ready.

The Concept EQG represents the future of Mercedes' legendary G-Wagon now powered by electricity. While maintaining the iconic boxy silhouette of the SUV it incorporates modern features such as the LED grille, full LED headlamps, and larger wheels. The traditional spare tire at the back has been replaced with a storage space for charging cables, shaped in a rectangular form.

Mercedes has not disclosed details about the motors and batteries officially, but it is known that the EQG will utilize individual motors on each wheel of both axles, enabling four-wheel drive capability, articulation, and the unique tank turn feature. The expected range of the EQG is around 500 kilometers on a single charge.
