Seating Options and Interior Features

To cater to a wider customer base, Maruti plans to offer both 7-seat and 6-seat variants of the Y17. The 7-seater version is expected to launch first, with the 6-seat variant featuring captain seats in the middle row and additional equipment and interior color themes, and new options are likely to enhance the overall appeal.

Market Positioning and Price

The Maruti Y17 is positioned to compete in the market with an expected starting price of around Rs 15 lakh. It will rival SUVs like the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and MG Hector Plus.

Collaboration with Toyota

Furthermore, Toyota is anticipated to introduce its own rebadged version of the 7-seater Maruti Grand Vitara solidifying the strategic collaboration between Maruti Suzuki and Toyota.
